VISUAL IMPACT VI Expo to bring Sign & Display Innovations to Sydney Following the recent success of Visual Impact Melbourne, which was held in conjunction with PacPrint, supplier association and expo organiser Visual Connections has announced the next iteration of the industry’s favourite sign, display, and wide-format show will be in Sydney in 2023. Visual Impact Sydney, which will run from 3 – 5 May 2023 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, is designed to help industry businesses envision their success by showcasing the latest innovations and ideas for print, sign, display, wide-format print, cutting, routing and engraving, textile printing and much more. “Businesses in our sector have been remarkably resilient over the past few years, and Visual Impact Melbourne demonstrated just how keen forward-thinking operations are to identify new technologies which can make their businesses more efficient, profitable and marketable,” says Sarah Moore, Business Development Manager, Visual Connections. “PacPrint and Visual Impact visitors in Melbourne embraced the opportunity to invest in the future, investing more than $50M at the show and making thousands of enquiries that are expected to at least double that figure in coming months. “With the market here continuing to recover post-COVID, and customers in Australia and New Zealand still wary of overseas supply due to ongoing issues with shipping and supply, we expect that VI Sydney will prove an equally popular venue to view, compare and assess technologies before making those all-important purchasing decisions.” Visual Impact Expos are well established as the visual communications and graphics industry’s leading show, with innovations expected in everything from sign and display systems, to wide-format printing, textile and sublimation printing, engraving, routing and laser cutting, 3D printing, finishing solutions, a variety of software and MIS systems and a full range of media from paper and boards, to synthetic media and specialised textiles. “Although it’s early days in our planning, the show’s floorplan is already filling fast, with industry leaders Roland DG coming on board as Platinum Sponsor for the event, and Euro Poles, HP, Pozitive, Spicers and Starleaton showing their support as Gold Sponsors,” Moore reports. “Alongside the sizeable stands of these key supporters, others who have already confirmed their participation so far include Alfex Laser, Elizabeth Machines, Kissel & Wolf, HP, Mimaki, Mutoh, Multicam, and Trotec.” It’s not only suppliers who are showing early interest. As the first Visual Impact Expo in the harbour city since 2019, Moore says news of for business owners and decision-makers from Sydney and surrounds, regional New South Wales, northern Victoria, Queensland and even New Zealand, which is closer to Sydney than many Australian cities. “While we have our biennial PacPrint Expos that alternate between Melbourne and Sydney and always co-locate with Visual Impact, we know that the pace of change in this sector – together with a large number of SMEs who can find travelling interstate more difficult – requires a more regular and local opportunity,” she says. “It’s great to be back to in-person events and our usual frequency for these important shows. We look forward to welcoming the industry to Sydney next May for what we know will be one of the most highly- anticipated Visual Impact Expos ever.” Moore advises those interested in attending Visual Impact Sydney 2023 should mark the dates in their diaries now, with registration likely to open early in 2023.
